Michael Tranzilli

Michael had the luxury of having six months off a year from work because he was employed in the family business, Tranzilli’s Real Italian Water Ice, Inc., so every winter after graduating from Fordham University with a degree in finance, which he never used, he would look for things to occupy his time and interests. On a cold, rainy, late January night, he walked into an Intro to Acting class at the Walnut Street Theatre and within three short weeks, he knew what his life’s calling was…to be an actor. A week before 9/11, he signed his first apartment lease in New York City and has been living a version of the dream ever since….whatever version keeps him out of the mental institution at that particular time.
He is fortunate to be a member of the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. He had the honor of appearing in many productions with them, most notably, Fahrenheit 451, Blindness, Slaughterhouse Five, 1984 and The Pilo Family Circus. The company is attempting to mount the world stage premier of Jaws in 2018. Mr. Tranzilli is lobbying for the role of the big fish….we will see.
Michael has also appeared in roles on All My Children, The Young and The Restless and As The World Turns. He would like to say he has acted on shows like Law And Order, Law And Order: Criminal Intent, Blue Bloods, Orange Is The New Black, etc., but alas, it has not happened for him as yet….but there is still time.
Michael is married to his best friend and soulmate, Colleen Rebecca Britt and the two of them have manufactured the wonderfully amazing, Mckenna Nina Tranzilli, aka Michael’s Mini-Me. They both push him to be a better actor, a better husband, a better father and a better human. Colleen and Mckenna…..I LOVE YOU BOTH VERY MUCH.
